Thanks for stopping by my site. My name is Adam Weiss; I’m a freelance commercial editor. I’ve been working in commercial post-production since 2006. My most recent staff position was working as an editor at the NYC boutique shop, Bug Editorial. There I got to not only learn from and work with A-list editor Andre Betz, but also got an opportunity to work on high end spots with premium brands and top tier directors and agency creatives. In 2017 I made the decision to go freelance and have not looked back. I’ve continued to work with the talented people I was fortunate enough to meet and have been able to expand my contacts and continue to work on challenging creative projects. I pride myself on being able to bring a strong unique creative perspective to the table while also being collaborative and open to creative ideas from others. Toy Photography:
During lockdown in 2020 I rediscovered my childhood fascination with toys. As a means of creative expression and a welcome distraction from the uncertainties of the outside world, I began capturing the charm and whimsy of toys through the camera’s lens. What started as a simple pastime blossomed into a full-fledged passion. My background in editing already armed me with a strong understanding of visual storytelling, making the transition from video to still photography a natural evolution. I enjoyed the challenge of crafting a compelling narrative within the confines of a single frame.
My approach to toy photography goes beyond mere snapshots of plastic figures. Each photo tells a story, often evoking humor (hopefully) and sparking the imagination of viewers young and old. Whether it’s recreating iconic images of popular culture or constructing entirely unique scenarios, the love and appreciation for the craft shines through in every image. With each click of the shutter I hope to invite the viewer to peer into a world where the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and where imagination knows no bounds.
My recreation of the Weezer music video “Island In The Sun” was featured on the band’s Instagram account in addtion to paid collaborations with MGA’s LOL Surprise Dolls and Jakks Pacific Super Mario Collection.
